Mobius, a platform operating on BNB Chain, fell victim to a sophisticated smart contract hack resulting in a $2.1 million loss. Security firm Cyvers identified the exploit, which unfolded within a critical two-minute window. The attacker deployed a malicious contract (0x631adf...) to drain 28.5 million MBU tokens, swiftly converting them into stablecoins.
Cyvers flagged the exploit as critical, noting abnormal transaction patterns and suspicious contract code.
